Terms & Conditions

1. Reservations and Financial Terms: By booking an accommodation through Habitas Stay, you agree to pay the total charges disclosed at the time of booking, which may include accommodation fees, cleaning charges, taxes, and other applicable fees. Payment confirms a legally binding agreement between you and Habitas Stay, subject to these terms and any specific conditions or rules of the accommodation. Payment must be made using acceptable methods such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express (subject to a 3% surcharge), or bank transfer. Full payment is due 30 days prior to check-in, or immediately if booking within 30 days of arrival, and is non-refundable.

2. Guest Responsibilities: You are responsible for ensuring that all guests meet Habitas Stay’s requirements and are informed of and agree to these Terms and any additional rules. If booking on behalf of minors, you affirm you are authorized to act on their behalf. Guests must adhere to the checkout times; overstaying without consent may result in charges up to twice the nightly rate and additional fees.

3. Security Deposit: A security deposit may be required upon arrival. This deposit will cover any potential damages, excessive cleaning needs, or fines due to violations such as breaching a no-pet policy. The deposit may be pre-authorized on a valid credit card or through a bank transfer.

4. Use of Property: Pets are generally not allowed unless specified, and most properties limit parking to one vehicle per unit. All on-site amenities like hot tubs, pools, and gyms are to be used at the guest’s own risk. Maintenance for these amenities may occasionally require immediate attention during your stay.

5. Liability and Conduct: Habitas Stay is not liable for any losses due to theft, accidents, or injuries. Guests are responsible for their conduct and that of their invitees. Habitas Stay reserves the right to terminate your stay for any breaches of rental conditions.

6. Changes and Cancellations: In the event of unforeseen circumstances where the property becomes unavailable, Habitas Stay reserves the right to substitute a comparable property or provide a full refund. The guest will be notified via email of such changes.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of British Columbia. Any disputes will be resolved in the provincial or federal courts located in British Columbia.

8. Communications: Communications are deemed delivered when sent via email, SMS, voice mail, phone call, or postal service to a designated addresses.

By proceeding with your booking, you accept these terms and confirm your understanding that payments are non-refundable.
